The WoolCloud Full Zip Hoody is filled with lightweight Duckworth Woolcloud insulation inside a shell of 40 denier rip-stop Polyester. A paneled hood, two large hand pockets and a full zip front make this jacket a versatile layering piece that’s light in weight and warm enough, thanks to the high-performance ingredient of lightweight wool fill, to wear as an outerwear jacket. The natural wool fill will not clump, or pack like down over time and is extremely breathable. Sport fit – roomy enough to layer under, slim enough to fit under a shell as necessary.

Semi-fitted full zip hooded jacket. Insulated with Duckworth WoolCloud. Hip length, two zippered hand pockets and a paneled hood. Lightweight, packable – wool insulation will keep you warm even when it is wet, unlike down and most synthetic fills.

Water and wind resistant lightweight rip-stop Polyester exterior and interior with a wool fill made of 50% USA Wool, 30% Helle Rambouillet Merino, 20% PET. Spot clean as needed, or dry clean.

I somehow came upon this company’s webpage, and after reading their story I was quite intrigued. My experience with wool products are positive, and primarily pertain to sock companies i.e. Darn Tough and Farm to Feet. I was definitely on the fence, as other brands like Arc’teryx, Mammut, and Patagonia had equally interesting products.
After much deliberation, I decided to purchase a Large FZ Hoody.

Upon un-boxing, I originally thought it was not going to keep me warm; as the WoolCloud insulation that fills the polyester lining is fairly thin. I received this product well over a month ago, and have used it quite regularly since. I have learned not to underestimate the power of wool.

Living in the Mile High City I can say this product holds up well in a temperature range from 40-60°F. Additionally, it can withstand light breeze and/or scattered showers, but it is by no means windproof or waterproof. From more adverse conditions it comfortably fits underneath an outer shell or jacket.

I am 6’2” and 185 lbs, with long arms. The Large fits perfectly around my chest (40”), enough room for slight mobility but snug in appearance. The sleeves come down to the mid-point of my palms, when my arms are at my side. Additionally, the back side of the hoody is longer than the front — just enough to cover your rear. Lastly, it has a slimming design when fully zipped.

I realize the price might deter some individuals away, but consider this as a long-term investment. Overall, I am highly impressed by this product, and would definitely recommend it to others.

We agree, once temperatures get below freezing this might not be sufficient for an outer layer – unless the conditions are dry (like here in Montana) and you’re well layered underneath. We appreciate your detailed comments. Thank you.

I’m 5’7, 130 pounds and got a medium. It fits loose enough I can layer underneath and my gortex shell fits over nicely also. Could size down for a slimmer fit but I like loose fitting clothes. Arrived in two days. Very worth having a unique puffer coat. I use it for the city.

I like to wear merino wool, I looked a t other products but nothing as super light and warm like this and it doesn’t clump like feather down. Its my favorite dry weather peice, great job guys.

Lightweight but very warm. Great looking and made well. I’m picky with clothing, and this item exceeded my expectations. Hard to beat a product produced 100% in the USA. The quality shows and is well worth the price.
