Our 100% Merino Wool Sawtooth Shirt was forged in partnership with American Woolen, the country's oldest wool shop, masters of the textile trade since 1899. This heritage-quality wool flannel shirt is perfect for those chilly backcountry nights, crisp mountain mornings and rowdy nights at the local saloon.

A classic, casual-fit flannel construction.

Garment measurements are approximate and can vary from garment to garment and color to color. Such is the nature of forging clothing with a natural, organic textile base like wool. 

How to measure:

Grab your favorite flannel shirt, a measuring tape, and find a flat surface to measure on. Button up the shirt and lay it flat, smoothing out the fabric to remove all slack.

Body
The length from the high point shoulder, where the shoulder meets the neck, straight down to the bottom of the hem, on the front of the garment.

Shoulder
The width from shoulder seam to shoulder seam.

Chest Circumference
The width of the chest, 1” below the armhole. Multiply the measurement by 2.

Sleeve
The length from the shoulder seam to the end of the cuff along the top of the sleeve.

Spot clean as needed, or dry clean only.

My new favorite wool shirt

"I will be truthful here, I bought my campfire plaid sawtooth shirt on the resale market for $135 last month. It was in absolute near new condition—just perfect. I also have a blue plaid sawtooth from a few years back, which I completely love, and always wanted a companion campfire plaid to go with it. I am a solid medium 5’11”/165; I looked for and found a size 2XL because I anticipated that the shirt would have been machine washed/dried, and have some level of shrinkage—which it did. I washed it on warm, delicate setting, and carefully put it in the drier for about 7 minutes on regular heat. My new shirt came out a perfect size Medium—SOFT, partially FELTED, as I hoped, warmer and more wind resistant. Couldn’t be happier. Now I will start to keep my eyes open for a beautiful SNOWCREST!"

"Initially I was skeptical of the price but this is easily my favorite shirt. The construction is flawless. The wool is warm and not itchy. The cut is a nice balance between classic and modern so you don't feel like you're swimming in a shirt, nor is it wrapped too tight around my waist. Stylish and masculine. Construction Quality: Top-Tier

"I love these shirts. I have two of them so far. They are very warm and eye catching. The construction is far and above any other long sleeve button-up shirt I own. My only complaint is that I wish they offered a larger size. Or two. I’m 6’3”, pretty stout build. These shirts hug my chest and biceps pretty good but not enough…yet…to keep me from not wearing these. I have both of these shirts in XXL. The first one I ordered was in XL. I immediately and easily exchanged it for their XXL. I still workout regularly and my chest and biceps are still slowly growing. I feel like I won’t be able to wear these shirts in the next couple years or so, regretfully."

Amazing flannel

"The construction quality is top-notch. The shirt is warm, the wool is not itchy at all (there's a bit of sensation when you first put it on, but goes away within a few minutes). Are you expecting any XL blue sawtooth shirts, if so what is the expected date.
