"I bought this to have a lightweight winter/fall/spring jacket that would be easy to travel with. It has met all my expectations. I love how lightweight it is, it packs so easy for trips, and I barely even notice it when I'm wearing it. Its very warm and it adaptable to various levels of cool/cold weather, deep pockets which are great for holding my phone. I wore it on a trip to Switzlerland and it was wonderful when we went up to the Alps to keep me warm without needing to wear a ton of layers underneath. I wear it for hiking around PNW, and it handles great for that too. I bought a small, I could wear an XS but the small allows more room for a layering when I need it."

Amazing jacket but awful zipper

"This jacket is my absolute favorite for warmth breathabiilty comfort and durability except for the zipper. I wear it for everything, backcountry touring, snowmachining, chopping wood, logging, farm chores etc. Its hard to imagine not having this jacket. the only fault is the zipper. i have owned 3 of these coats and ALL the zippers have failed. Duckworth replaced one but not the others. fortunatly a neighbor replaced my other two coats with better zippers that are more durable now. i am encouraging Duckworth to fix the zipper problem."

Warm and lightweight

"The jacket is much warmer than I anticipated. It is very wind proof too. I live in Upstate NY and have a farm. It has been warm enough and durable enough to keep me warm in single digit temperatures. It is extremely lightweight too which makes layering and wearing under overalls easier. I wear it hiking with my dogs and it stands up to briars. I haven’t pushed through them in fear that the exterior will tear but it doesn’t create a pull when it hits a thorn. I’m 5’4” 210lbs and got the XL. A large would have fit fine but I like to have a layer or two on underneath and the XL has room for a sweatshirt and a vest underneath."

Love it, but….

"The jacket is amazing, but there’s a few things I wish was different/added to make it perfect IMO. Number 1; A breast pocket on the inside with a zipper, preferably more pockets with zipper all together. Number 2; A cinch at the bottom so the jacket stays close to your body. And a cinch on the hood to cinch it close to your face (not just at the back) Number 3; The outside fabric can’t take too much wear, it’s already getting fluffy in some areas after about ten uses. All in all; very happy with the jacket, the fit is really good and kept me warm when I was working outside and got sweaty. Wool for the win!"

Q&A

I am wondering about size -5’9 150 lbs. I usually wear a medium but will plan on layering below it and definitely want sleeves long enough so I was considering a large. Recommendation? Also, it is on sale but not clearance, so could I exchange it if the size isn’t correct?

I'm new to Duckworth sizing. How does sizing compare to Powder Zip Hoodie? The Powder Medium was far too big for me. 5'-8", 135 to 145 pounds. Not big in the chest. Wondering if I need a small or medium Woolcloud Jacket? Thanks.

Hi it says the nylon shell and lining are imported. Is the wool from your ranch and is the nylon imported from China?
Hi Jackie! In regard to the WoolCloud Full Zip Jacket, The wool is grown at our ranch in Dillion, MT, and supplemented with additional USA-produced wool as needed for demand. The cleaning, spinning, sewing, and cutting, and creation of all of our garments are done within North and South Carolina, Texas, Minnesota, Tennessee, and Chicago. The nylon is from China at this time but we are looking at exterior materials to introduce in our lines that is intranational.
Does the wrist elastic stretch out. I tried on one and they were tight. Thanks!
The wrist elastic does stretch and then return to its original state. It does not stay permanently stretched.
Does the vest have the same dimensions and proportions than the jacket? I am trying to figure out if I should buy the same size than the vest or if I should size up for the jacket…
The jacket does have a little extra room compared to the vest if that helps!
