High performance patented Vapor Wool fabric is lightweight, no-stink, and ultra fast drying, perfect for a day on the water, where the added cover of long sleeves and a loose hood can make the difference. It is used by professionals in the mountains and in marine conditions, where protection from the sun is necessary. Wool is anti-microbial, so there is no stink, and this summer wool fabric has all natural stretch with no added lycra. It is 100% grown in Montana and made in USA. The reduced Hoody style adds the extra protection from wind with absolutely no bulk, and makes it easy to pack and train in when on the go. This is the one hoody you need for trans-habitation from the city to the wild.

Finally, somebody made the hooded sun shirt we’ve all been waiting for! Long sleeves, with a hood, which you can while working, hiking, climbing, fishing, no matter how hot it is, while still retaining the performance of technical wicking layers. The Holy Grail of summer T-shirts exists!
This autumn I wore this hoody, with a Vapor T underneath it, for six days straight while backpacking in the Winds. I wore both all day on the trail and the rock, and all night too, in my sleeping bag, since we were camping at 11,000 feet and it was getting down to freezing temperatures before dawn. The only time I changed is during hot afternoons when I’d take the Vapor T off and put the hoody back on for its sun protection. And neither got stinky! Well, not really stinky. Maybe a little stinky, but way less than I would have thought after 144 straight hours in these shirts. Way, way less stinky than if I’d worn a polyester, nylon, or capilene sun shirt.
Other pluses; these shirts wash well, and aren’t stiff like wool shirts are after a washing, though I wouldn’t wash them in anything but cold water. Also, hang dry them. I expect them to be quite a bit more durable than pure wool T-shirts, but time will tell. Can’t wait to test the Vapor hoody every day this winter!

As seen on Outside Online: “A Do-It-All Travel Kit, Stress Tested in Ecuador – Dressing for the tropics is all about protecting your skin from sun and mosquitoes—without getting too hot to move. The well-designed, superlight Vapor Hoody, made from anti-stink, fast-drying wool, is sheer and loose enough to wear on the hottest days. It protects your neck, and the light-gray color discourages the skeeters from giving you trouble.” Read Review here: https://www.outsideonline.com/2199656/ten-south-america-travel-essentials

Wow, this Hoody is very lightweight with no extras. I wasn’t sure when I bought it if I would wear it a lot, but after I tried it, it has become my go to piece for summer running, travel and gym. The fabric dries quickly, has just enough protection for the sun and wind and packs down ultra small. When you make a heavier one I will buy it for winter in Quebec.

I am a big hoody fan and this is hands down my favorite hoody I have ever purchased. The only problem is that I cant take it off!

I wore this tank 3 days, evenings and nights canoe camping this past weekend. My only comment is that it’s a little snug under the arm (for me), so I sized up.
