Reviews

Daily.

"Since I unboxed it in October, I’ve probably *not* worn this thing about 15 total days (it’s mid-May). Best midlayer I’ve owned, hands down. One full steelhead guide season plus a ski guiding season, and the fleece is still as soft as ever, the warmth is unmatched, and the smell is verifiably nonexistent. One note: even if you don’t wash your hoody (or other Powder line product) you’ll have some shrinkage. I got a small, but will probably move up to a medium to have a little more long-lasting wrist coverage and tuckable length for in waders, and a bit more room for a more insulative baselayer. (I’m 5’7, 41 in chest)."

Runs small

"Bought the powder hoodie for hunting, camping, general outdoors wear based on the description and reviews of others. It is most definitely soft and has a lot of loft which equals warmth but found that they run on the smaller side. More of a tighter athletic fit so if you plan on having thermal layers on underneath definitely size up. Only reason for 4 stars. Love the shape and style of the hood as it can be used kind of like a makeshift neck gater or pulled up as normal. I'll definitely be keeping my first one and it'll be my around town casual wear when I won't be layering up but but will be ordering an XL for my fall/winter outdoor adventures."

Wears for Wyoming

"This is my second Powder hoodie. Have the black and now the gray. Im 5’8” 170# Large fits good I wear it over a long sleeve T usually. I also have three vapor hoodies. medium for first layer and large for second layer. I love them all. Good quality, look good. They serve my active outdoor Wyoming life style well."

Great hoodie

"Bought these for my son and myself for upcoming hunts and general colder weather activities. Super warm and comfortable. Sizing is spot on. My wife was jealous so I had to buy her one as well."

Nathan B. (5/5)

Awesome product. Can't wait for other colors!

"The powder hoody is nice and warm. It's an awesome product! If it is a little windy the air does pass right through it so I'm not sure if people in the other reviews were layered or not. I had a cotton shirt (I'll be getting a duckworth vapor shirt soon) under my hoody and felt the chill."

Drake N. (5/5)

"I’ve had many hoodies & generally don’t like them because all their necks are always too tight & also they usually hang too long. Dropped $600 on the Snowcrest jac shirt & really liked that & decided this powder hoodie was worth a shot based on endless praise in the reviews. It is decidedly my favorite all time hoodie. Light, softer than anything I own, warm yet somehow breathable enough to not need to peel it off as soon as you get inside somewhere. Still wish the neck opening was wider. I’m 5’11, 185lb with thick neck. Large fits very well. Alreadu ordered a midnight blue one to have along with this spruce."

Holds Up to the High Praise

"I live at 10K ft in the Rockies and am very active. This has become my favorite hoodie. It's equally at home lounging by the wood stove reading a good, or scrambling through backcountry looking for sheds. I can wear it to work. I can wear it out for an evening. It's durable, comfortable and you can wear it for days without it getting smelly. I now own 3 (and will purchase Moose if they ever restock it), and my girlfriend has 2. Amazing piece that actually holds up to the great reviews here. Prepare to be impressed!"

RG (5/5)

Love it! Have already gotten

"Love it! Have already gotten so much use out of it just lounging and out and about during this transition season. I’ve also used it as a mid layer for snowboarding. It feels super cozy but not delicate, so I’m not afraid to actually wear it. I’m sure I’ll get tremendous use out of it camping and hiking too. Very pleased with this purchase."

Anastasia H. (5/5)

Best piece of gear so far

"So I have used many of the tools name brands down and synthetics. This wool powder is going on every hike backpacking trip ect from now on. Although it’s not wind resistant it does everything else from regulating heat when hiking to keeping you warm when it’s damn. This is one of those pieces I’ll keep with me for everything. It’s very strange how it can do both but I’ve forgotten it’s on when things got warmer and same for walking outside into a chill. Also it’s very soft. This powder hoodie is exceptional."

Ryan L. (5/5)

Perfect Layer

"Can’t wait to put it to use in the mountains of SW Montana this September. My guides and hunting buddies swear by this company so it was a no brainer!"

Q&A

Any chance you might have an idea when the standard grey powder hoodie might be back in stock?
We currently do not have plans to produce our Standard Gray Powder Hoody in future. Thanks for your question, Jerry!

I am 5’8” and weigh 145 lbs with a 42 inch chest and a 30 inch waist. Would you recommend a medium or a large? I have wide shoulders and more of a narrow waist.
Thanks for your question here! Although these measurements don't tell the full story, I would suggest a Medium for a more form-fit, and a Large for a more relaxed fit.
