Updated, comfortable, but snug!

"The sizing has changed on the waist and bust considerably (see picture for scale). I have not changed sizes since I bought the original. I can see they did make a more feminine cut, which is fine, but it has made it more snug. My bust is not large by any means and the snaps are still trying to stretch. I'm happy that they added wool in front of the pockets. That is a wonderful new feature. But I'm a little disappointed that it is not true to size when I am below the dimensions."

"I own two of these- one is the original women's vest design in tan, and recently purchased an update. I LOVE that they put wool in front of the pockets. Couldn't tell you how many times I put my hands in my pockets of the original wishing there was some sort of protection from the cold! The main reason I give this a 4/5 is that it is a bit more snug than the original and the cut is slightly different. It does give more shape which is better that way. The length also seems to not be as long as the original. I think this came with a few trade offs, which is fine. I will still get another one when this one bites the dust!"

Perfect for just about everything.

"Instantly became my favorite insulating layer. And outer layer. And layer in general. I was going to use this for biking and hiking, but I've been wearing it every day regardless of what I'm doing because it's so comfortable for me. It's the perfect amount of warmth. I even used it on a bike trip where the temps were in the high 20s at night, as the only insulating layer under a puffy jacket, and it was plenty warm. And best part, I love how it fits and looks."

Does the DWR coating contain the forever chemicals/PFAFFs?
Hi there, This current batch on clearance sale does (as of writing 9/3/2024), although all future production of WoolCloud releases (including those arriving this fall), will not have forever chemicals as we seek to improve our footprint with the available technology and information we are all collectively becoming aware of! Can you tell me the exact weight of this (in a size small)? I am looking for a vest for ultralight backpacking, and every ounce matters! Also, can you speak to how well/how small it compresses for packing?
Thanks for this question, Natasha! Our Women's Woolcoud Vest in a Small weighs in at 6.9oz. To speak on the compression - I am able to compress it in my hands with medium pressure into roughly 9in(L) x 5in(W) x 3in(H) measurements.
