Since the Merino Wool gets warmer when introduced to water and water vapor, the Men's Comet Hoody will keep you dry and warm even in the nastiest conditions. This slim (but not tight-fitted) Merino Wool hoody is soft to the touch, meaning it works perfectly as a single layer that looks sharp at après ski in the lodge or in the truck between treks. This Merino Wool baselayer is durable, anti-odor, moisture-wicking, quick-drying, and versatile. American-made with American Wool.

"Got this just in time to wear as my primary base layer for an 8 day backcountry backpack rifle elk hunt in Idaho, and it did not disappoint. The two layers trapped heat well without holding moisture. The shirt was easy to dry off on its own but hanging it near the fire had it dry with a quickness. Sadly, I fell when coming down a mountain in the dark and put two small holes in the back of my literally new shirt. Duckworth does not sell downing wool thread to repair (ahem-hint-ahem) but a suitable thread wasn’t hard to find online. Pro tip- this did get a ton of sweat in it but a one hour soak with some wool detergent and white vinegar have this thing feeling so soft and just like new. I look forward to many more seasons with my comet hoodie, along with the numerous socks and powder hoodie I already have. Keep making great stuff!"
