Duckworth's Vapor Hoody is the perfect lightweight, 4-season Merino layer for people constantly on the move.
Our Vapor Hoody begins with natural, Montana-grown Merino Wool that's then spun and knit into our proprietary Vapor Wool fabric blend. Vapor Wool combines three different fibers to create a garment that is lightweight, soft, cooling, antimicrobial (odor-free), moisture-wicking and ultra-fast-drying.
It's perfect as a baselayer during high-exertion winter activities or as a sun hoody that keeps sun off the skin (UPF-50) and the body cool when worn solo in the heat. Featuring a loose-fit hood, this versatile Merino Wool hoody was born in the Montana backcountry and has been performance tested in environments from Arizona to Alaska.

NEW FOR 2026: The vapor collection now features an updated vortex-spun yarn construction designed for greater durability, reduced pilling, and longer-lasting performance. "I love this thing. The women’s were sold out. So I opted to try the men’s. I’m a Medium women’s and purchase Small men’s. For a hoody it’s just fine. So soft and comfortable with the perfect amount of stretch. I have not sweat it in yet, as per the video “directions”."

- Great questions, Alex! The garment is not ruined in our eyes, but we recognize the fit of the garment will change drastically due to shrinkage. Thanks for your question! - Thanks for you question, Garrett! The Vapor series is our lightest weight line with the blend, while the Maverick series is one of our 100% wool lines. We will take this consideration as feedback for our Vapor production.
- Hello, I’m 5’9 155lbs. Would you recommend a size medium in the vapor hoodie? Currently I have huge powder hoodie in size small.
- Depending on how you prefer your fit, I would recommend the Medium, this would give you a relaxed fit, whereas a small might be more of a fitted shirt on you.
